Peter Keller, Dean
Dr. Peter Keller is Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Victoria (UVic) in the province of British Columbia, Canada. He holds a PhD in Geography from the University of Western Ontario where he began his teaching career. In 1985, he moved to Victoria, BC, joining the Department of Geography at UVic as a professor and enjoying close to 20 years of delivering innovative research and academic programs in Geographic Information Sciences (GIS), cartography and spatial analysis. Dr. Keller has recently completed his first five-year term as Dean of Social Sciences and has launched into the next term with vigour and enthusiasm. He is passionate about educating students in the sciences that examine human behaviour, social relationships and the connections between humans and the environment – the social sciences.
